School chaplain

Meet Celestin Sendegeya,  the Chaplain of the Cyimbili Secondary School. He is married with five children. He lives here in Cyimbili with his eldest son who attends high school. His wife is a teacher and lives with his other four children in an area three hours away. He is able to go home only once […]

Sunday at the plantation

The church was filled with singing from 9 til noon. Over six different choirs and dancers participated. Preaching filled the air inbetween groups. The lead sermon was done by one of the seminary students on Ez 16:1-17.  The congregation spent 3 1/2 hours on low benches!

The new addition to the church roof…a blessing. One of the students today said he loves Cyimbili “because of the Christianity here.” Lovely!

Day End Summary

Fred and Rich were mountain men today!  They worked on the water system which is now functioning! Showers for the first time this week! Filters installed. Water testing  tomorrow. Toilets will be installed Thursday at the new school restrooms. Still lovin’ the garden veggies…butternut squash tonight. Marita spent the morning with the Cyimbili Women’s Committee. […]
